Originally established in 1985 as Central Securities Limited, over time we have created a promising portfolio of growth oriented companies.
We currently exercise significant control over the underlying subsidiaries of First Capital Holdings PLC (CSE Ticker: CFVF) and Kelsey Developments PLC (CSE Ticker: KDL).
Listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange since 1986, we are traded under the ticker code CSEC.
Reflecting our comfortable liquidity conditions and other credit fundamentals we are rated BBB with stable outlook by ICRA Lanka.

Board of Directors
Chairman of Dunamis Capital PLC
Eardley Perera has been a Director of Dunamis Capital PLC since 01 May 2012 and was appointed Chairman of Dunamis Capital PLC with effect from 01 May 2017. He is a Chartered Marketer and a Graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, with over 40 years of experience in management. He has undergone management training in UK, Sweden, South Korea, India, the Philippines and Singapore. He is a member on the Board of Study of the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and has been engaged in management education and consultancy.

Managing Director
Ramesh Schaffter, a versatile personality counting almost three decades of experience in Finance & Marketing, was appointed to the Board of Janashakthi PLC in 2002 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed to the Board of Janashakthi Insurance PLC in 2004, having served as Secretary to the Board since the inception of the Company in 1994 – a position he held until 2017. He also serves on the Board of Orient Finance PLC, First Capital PLC, Kelsey Developments PLC and several unlisted Companies.
A social entrepreneur and life coach, he is also an accomplished public speaker and a multiple award winner at National and International Level Toastmasters’ Contests.
He is also a former President of Habitat for Humanity – Sri Lanka and a former Board Member of World Vision for Sri Lanka.

Saliya Wickramasuriya, a physicist by training, joined the upstream oil and gas industry in 1984, working for Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services provider. Following 12 years on rigs as a Wireline Field Engineer, he held training, operations management, product development and marketing positions in the North Sea, Middle East, USA and West Africa. He was appointed Chairman/Director General of the Sri Lanka Board of Investment in 2004 and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority from 2006 to 2008. He then served as Director General of the Petroleum Resources Development Secretariat, an institution tasked with developing Sri Lanka’s emerging oil and gas industry, from November 2011 to June 2017. Saliya currently serves as Co-Chair of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce National Agenda Committee for Energy and is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Ocean University and Board of Management of the Informatics Institute of Technology. Saliya holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Engineering Physics from Loughborough University, UK and through his various assignments, possesses extensive experience in a spectrum of technical and marketing disciplines as well as areas of strategy and national policy development.

Chandana de Silva has 25 years of managerial, financial experience and strategic acumen acquired in Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. He held several senior management positions including that of Chief Financial Officer of a Nasdaq quoted telecom services company during his 23 years of work experience in the UK. Since moving back to Sri Lanka in 2002 he worked for MAS Holdings in a variety of roles and established its Supply Chain Management function, set up the MAS training centre and was the Chief Executive Officer of the MAS Investment Division when he left in 2011. He currently serves as a management consultant to clients in the investment, property development and IT sectors and promotes competency development in negotiation and influencing skills. Chandana is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and in Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Management from the University of London, UK.

Nathan Sivagananathan is an entrepreneurial and visionary leader and Director of a leading apparel company in Sri Lanka. He is a 2015 Eisenhower Fellow and also recently nominated and chosen as a Kauffman Fellow. He was a winner of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons, in the Business Economical and/Entrepreneurial Accomplishment category by the Junior Chamber International Sri Lanka. He was also ranked no.1 in the top 40 under 40 CEOs in one of Sri Lanka’s leading business magazines. Nathan takes particular interest in his philanthropic work and has walked the length of Sri Lanka twice raising funds in aid of cancer treatment infrastructure through the Colours of Courage Trust and Trail that he co-founded. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Engineering Management from University of Hertfordshire, UK and completed the Advanced Management Program at University of Harvard, USA.

Prakash Schaffter the Chairman of Janashakthi Insurance PLC, has over three decades experience in the Insurance industry in both Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom. He has led Janashakthi as Managing Director since 2006 during which period Janashakthi became the third largest insurer in Sri Lanka, acquired the Non- Life business of AIA Insurance Lanka and most recently, engaged in the divestment of Janashakthi’s Non-Life business. He continues to impact the business sector through his role on the council of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID). He is also a Director of Janashakthi PLC, Orient Finance PLC, First Capital PLC, Kelsey Developments PLC and several unlisted Companies.
He was amongst the youngest Fellow Members of the Chartered Insurance Institute. A former first-class cricketer, he represented both Cambridge University and London University during his cricketing career. He has also served as President and Secretary of the Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club. He is a former Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket, having served on three separate occasions on Interim Committees appointed by the Government.
